Still Standing & Steppin Out is an annual charity event
that focuses on honoring survivors of Domestic Violence. The event will include
a Survivor fashion show, live entertainment, vendors, and a silent auction.
Proceeds will benefit The Still Standing Foundation’s “Survivor Start up fund”.
The Start up fund assists victims of DV with the necessary funds and resources
needed to start their new life as a survivor. While our clothes may cover up our physical bruises, they do not cover up our emotional scars.
If you are in Atlanta, Come out and enjoy good food, signature drinks,
entertainment and have a good time while supporting a great cause!
Tickets are $25 in
advance and $30 at the door and can be purchased HERE.
That's a very worthy cause. Too many victims of domestic abuse stay silent because they'e either embarassed or think it's their own fault. Anything to spread the awareness that no, violence in the home is NOT OK, will help.

ReplyDeleteMy friend is a survivor of Domestic Violence so I take it serious. And my Accountability Partner made these tshirts that say "I Show My Scars So Others Can Heal" in honor o Domestic Violence.
